Post Helper sheet for shipboard ops

    Hey guys,

I designed a sheet for helping players (and GM) with ship opeations. It features most engineering and starship ops tables, along with a recapitulation of the maneuvers. I hope you find it useful... hopefully you won't have to keep turning the pages of your core books anymore during your games

    Comments welcome!

I only have one comment. Is there a way to make the text darker?

I have tried printing it, and the text is too light and small to be easy to read, and comes out as a light gray when printed in Greyscale...

I'll give it a go on my B/W printer at home later. But if using as a printed reference, this could cause problems.

As a piece of work however, I like it. Quite a handy tool.

Hey KW, that's pretty good indeed, and I'm definitely going to use it in my next games!

    Only comments would be:
    - as Dan said, the text is a tad to light.
    - the last page could use some ... well, dunnow how to call it ... something like that at the end:

I like it, KW...it'll save wear and tear on my NG. In color it prints okay...though it is a bit light. You might consider upping the contrast; that should help.

    Unhappy

I like the look of it and it seems to be just what you would need. I'm with the others that it is way to light and the font is a little small.

    I love the diagrams.

I will definitely use this. I do hope there's a version with darker text on its way though.

Printed it, KW. Looks good -- a little light. I'd have a go at it and play teh contrast up, were I you. Otherwise, really nice. (Looks great on the computer screen -- fortunately, I GM off of my laptop for the most part.)

    Post Somewhat new version

    Guys,

Thank you very much for your nice comments, I'm happy if that's useful for you...

I corrected a little layout error (bad color) and tried darkening the light pink. Let me know if it's better. I'm having some troubles changing too much the color of this text, because that makes the Okudagrams ugly (same color of the set)...

    Anyway, I hope it's better.

I agree an Okudagram could have been handy on page 2 - I just didn't have the room. I'll see if I can find a solution though.

Sorry for the font size, I wanted to put all info here... I guess when the Starships book is out, anyway, these sheets will need to be redone, as there will surely be tons of new maneuvers. I'll actualize them at the moment, certainly putting all tables on a separate sheet.

Tell me if the darker one suits you better.

    Your link doesn't work.

    This does: http://www.lionelkw.com/kw_starship_ops_darker.pdf

The darker one is very good indeed.

Very useful sheets, KW... only two minor quibbles. Tests to extend shields can use either System Operations (Tactical) or (Shields), while tests to reinforce shields should use System Engineering (Shields) rather than (Tactical).
