Did anybody "attend" the virtual Star Trek convention?

Did anybody "attend" the virtual Star Trek convention that was recently held online?

(I put "attend" in quotes because, well, you didn't actually attend -- you just pretended to attend while sitting at your computer and using an avatar to represent yourself. )

I thought it was a neat idea until I saw the price tag -- which set tickets at the same prices as a normal live convention (something like $40 for the weekend, if I remember correctly).

So I didn't attend, but I'm really curious what the people who did attend thought of it.

I didn't (mainly because of cost - it's a lot of money to pay only to discover your modem isn't up to it) but I hope they consider a mmorpg because the convention showed there is a definate interest in a virtual trek experiance right?

I didn't either. Even thought I'm on cable, I didn't think it would be worth the price of admission.

Besides, why pay $40 bucks to talk Trek somewhere else when I can come here & do the same for free?
