Allow me to apologize for the rambling here
Thanks everybody, I was sitting around the other day and trying to figure out whether or not I should bother to redraw them. The reason I asked at all is that the ship is (A) Not Canon and (B) Not Pretty (at least compared to the kinds of ship most people use for their regular vessels, for a Cargo Vessel she aint too bad). Not knocking it at all mind you, she is what she ought to be: a practical, functional vessel of simple but innovative design.
I have the Command section pretty much done (if you looked at the link above at Ex Astris, it is the front section) save for a few rooms. It took a bit longer because I decided to do a little remodelling as I was redrawing and thus was a bit more intense than a simple trace job. The preliminaries however look cool, much better than the originals done in Paint.
Given the responses, what I will do is post the Command Section in the next day or three as a separate post on this side of the board. I will include the older (and less detailed, less-well rendered) Engineering and Aft sections I have already done in Paint for those who might want to use the plans sooner than later. I should be able to finish those other sections (particularly the Aft) reasonably soon for a second posting however as there should be less redrawing (but for a few sections in Engineering).
PS: About the Intrepid. Ooo. Big ship. Odd Shape. Lots of canon sources I'd need to check, re-check and triple-check. I dunno seriously, especially since the Tech Manual/whatsis for Voyager is supposed to be out next year right? Might have something in it a la the DS 9 Tech Manual. One of the reasons I did the Nova is that I doubted anything official would ever come out for them.
That being said I do have her Sickbay and Engineering room done if anyone would like. I wanted originally to use them for the Nova, but ultimately just used components of them (which is appropriate since it basically is exactly what the production people did for the series in all likelihood)
