I am dead. As of this moment, we are all dead. We go into battle to reclaim our lives. This we do gladly because we are Jem’Hadar. Remember, victory is life.
"The D20 System is the heart of the classic fantasy roleplaying experience, the game that has taught us all how to be munchkins. There is no way we could do it with any other system."
It does indeed! Kinda Andromeda-ish with an edge. Can't wait for it!

It looks more like "Space Western meet Traveller (the RPG)" kind of thing. Indeed, it is enough to put me in the mood when the Traveller's Handbook arrived in my mailbox.
I just hope it last longer than Earth: Above and Beyond, The Visitor, and Dark Angel, FOX's three previous short-lived sci-fi series.
Anyhoo, just some random thoughts...
"My philosophy is 'you don't need me to tell you how to play -- I'll just provide some rules and ideas to use and get out of your way.'"

"Min/Maxing and munchkinism aren't problems with the game: they're problems with the players."

well Joss Weeden (Buffy, Angel) is writing for it so it should be ok for a few years. I wish he'd concentrate more on buffy though until his contract is fully up (SMG's n his are due next year).
Anyone who still uses Frames for a website should be shot.
Does your sig area really need to be bigger then your post?
It does rather, doesn't it?Originally posted by Perrryyy

I'm working on the basis that it's Joss, so it's bound to be good![]()

"There are worlds out there where the sky is burning, where the sea is asleep and the rivers dream; people made of smoke and cities made of song.
Somewhere there's danger, somewhere there's injustice, and somewhere else the tea is getting cold. Come on, Ace, we've got work to do."
THE DOCTOR, "Survival" (Doctor Who)
Can't find the url but it was reported that the Pilot was rejected by TPTB. The article was astounded that advertisers were actually signing on to a product that they had never seen. Weeden was quoted as saying that they would jump right into the series without the pilot. I don't recall if the article mentioned if it would be delayed or not.
On the down side, the reporter predicted an early death for the series.Let's hope that s/he is wrong. The teasers that I've seen look good.

"A day without sunshine is like, you know, night."

"Michael Moore is reminiscent of a heavy-handed Leni Riefenstahl, who glorified Nazism in the 1930s." Peter Worthington, Toronto Sun.
I read on a Whedon fan site that the pilot was alittle too cerebral, the network wanted more action in the first episode, but they are planning to show the pilot to establish backstory in November. Since that is a sweeps month, the pilot must be pretty good. All the networks bring out their big guns then.

Doesn't this sound like the established mythology ofd another series? If only I could remember its name....Originally posted by tmutant

Kinda looks like they took a look at the other sci-fi shows and fused them -- got that Farscape meets Andromeda feel. I'll probably watch a few to see how it is.
"War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
John Stuart Mill
