    Post Nebula Class Schematics/Deck Plans

I was planning on Drafting up some deck plans for a Nebula Class Starship for my first and sometime to be run game. Since I was going to go through the trouble of drafting up the deck plans for all of the decks for my player's ship the U.S.S. Discovery, I thought I might offer them online here at trekrpg.net for other narrators who were interested.

I haven't started them yet, I was just wondering if anybody would be interested in them when I am finished.

P.S.: I was also going to do deck plans for for a starbase, Starbase 39 Sierra.

    Riggen out.

Well, do any of you own the Enterprise bluebrints? I've got the set, and they could easily be modified for a Nebula-class arrangement.

You'll get my blueprints when you pull them from my cold, dead, tribble-eaten hands!

But seriously, I got them in the bargain section of a local B.Dalton bookstore, if you look hard enough, I'm sure you could find a set.

To answer Lancer's question, I am going to draft up the deck plans in AutoCAD 2000; since I am a CAD Drafter and know AutoCAD well. And then try to convert the plans over to Adobe Acrobat 4.0. So it'll be easier for people to view them.

I also have a copy of the Enterprise D Blueprints, which is what I will use to figure out how to draft the decks for the Nebula Class; since the Galaxy and the Nebula are very alike.

I must say that owning a set of Glaxay D blueprints myself and having considered doing this, I am impressed that someone else is willing to take on this daunting task.

Good luck man, and I will gladly give you any help I can...

Wish I could offer you my help here, but I only worked once with Autocad and that was about 10 years ago. (I use Paintshop Pro for most of my graphic needs.)

I am not sure if using Acrobat for the distribution is a good idea - I guess that would depend for the most part on how big the file-size gets.
I think converting graphics to PDF can lead to significantly larger files than using GIF or JPEG.

Yeah... you are probably right Lancer. What I was going to try and do was only turn certain parts of the AutoCAD drawings into an image of some sort. With AutoCAD you can window certain parts of a drawing and turn it into an image file. That way you can save on file size.

    Riggen Out,
