    The day was 99% good.

    That last 1% however...

On our way back from celebrating, fiancee and I stopped at a restaurant to eat a late dinner.

Seconds before midnight, she slipped on the tile floor in her new shoes, and fell. Hard. This is especially bad because she has early-onset osteoporosis.

Fortunately, nothing was broken... but it took until 4:30 AM for the hospital to tell us that. Add an hour to get home and limp in, plus the fact that I had to be at work by 7:30 AM today, and, well...

    ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.. .

Wish her our best, and go get some sleep ASAP.

So, I guess, next year I shouldn't say that thespian statement: "Break a Leg!"

Oh, not at all, I appreciate it.

Just as long as you're not singing it in a restaurant. I frickin' hate that...

Anyway, she's much improved today. Sore, but mobile. And I just had 15 straight hours of sleep.

    Yay!

And now, I can quite legitimately quote Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail:

I did say sorry about the "old woman", but from behind you looked...

All best, FoT; and hope that this year is the standout of the bunch so far.

Life is so weird. I swear, aside from the diabetes I still feel mostly like I did when I was 19.

Well, okay... I switched political parties after I became an actual property owner, and turned evil. But other than that, everything is the same as it was half my life ago.

What else is wierd... I'm the second most-senior employee where I work, just after the Director.

Now, if only I got paid like an "old coot"...
