User Titles?

This is as good of place as any to ask...

VB2 doesn't support forum-level user titles--they're system-wide. So, the Trek user titles have to go away. (VB3, coming soon, does support forum-level user titles, I believe.)

So, what should the titles and their ranges be? Currently:

Cadet (Minimum Posts: 0)
Ensign (Minimum Posts: 100)
Lieutenant, j.g. (Minimum Posts: 200)
Lieutenant (Minimum Posts: 500)
Lt. Commander (Minimum Posts: 1000)
Commander (Minimum Posts: 2000)
Captain (Minimum Posts: 5000)

There are also:
Moderators
Super Moderators
Honored Guests
Administrators

I think I'd like to keep the same breakdown to make switching back to forum-specific easier when VB3 comes out, but that's 7 titles to decide upon.

Neophyte, New Member, Initiate
Adept, Participating Member, Contributor
Valued Member, Participant
Verbose Member
Prolific
Old As Dirt
Spam-O-Holic

Maybe not all of them. But one in particular, possibly?

As for titles, how about things like Lurker, Regular, and Permanent Resident (for Captain)?

I like Don's scale... the first ones: 'Adept', etc. Maybe 'Eternal member' is in order for the greatest rank. And Spam-o-Holic should be a custom rank for Styro and Aslan, hmmm?

Hey JB, if Don would object to use being here you can bet he would tell us.

That aside I think 'Ring-bearer' might be a wonderfull title for Moderators or Administrators.
