    Post Voyager series beginning soon!

Finally, I've settled on my series idea: the player is a junior officer aboard USS Voyager on its trip through the Delta Quadrant. The series begins in year 1 of Voyager, just after "Caretaker." I'm using a heavily modified version of the TNG core book episode "Shakedown Cruise" for the series opener. I'm going to run the epiosde tonight, after my player creates his character. Has anyone else ever run or tried to run a series like this? If so, I would appreciate ideas.

One idea could be if your character is a scientist to make him chief of science, cause Voyager lacks one. Or make him the deputy chief of another department. Maybe you could also introduce the Hazard Tema from Elite Force ( PC Game ).

    Thumbs up

I think that is a really great idea and would work well with 1-2 players. The downside is that you’d need to be really familiar with Voyager so as to make sure to give the game the proper feel and tie the stories together, weaving them in between episodes. You could even have a story that takes place during a Voyager episode but as a B plot that we never saw on screen!

In the early seasons you could have a lot of fun. Imagine playing Tom Paris to the PC and talking about having your eye on B’lanna or Kim walking around trying to woo 7 of 9 in the early days. What a hoot!

You’ll have your hands full doing impersonations but sounds like a lot of fun!

I've been thinking of a Voyager campaign in which the PCs are aboard the ship of the same name, but, as an arc related to an on-screen story (but not seen in an on-screen story), the characters leave Voyager and go it alone and on their own, resigning their commissions (or whatever).

Unlike their friends and former colleagues, the characters choose to travel home through the galactic core instead of following Janeway. Not only will this allow contact with aliens seen on the show (i.e. Borg, Hirogen, and my personal favorite, the Kazon), but also with completely new aliens or perhaps species mentioned but never seen (i.e. like the one mentioned by one of the Equinox crew... the something-or-other Imperium or something like that).

Imagine the drama of role playing the characters going to the captain and asking her to let them leave the ship, saying goodbye to their friends, and striking out on their own in a shuttle! WOW, talk about excitement!

I think I'll pitch this to my players (assuming they ever decide to game again!).

    mactavish out.

An idea of mine is to drop a small task force into the delta quadrand. if this will happen it will take place during or shortly after the Dominion War. Having more than one ship (4-6 by current count) allows for more variety and keeps nuisance races away.

Since Voyager never made it past the badlands (One of her nacelles was found by my characters) they even might find a fast way home. Or at least one without angering the locals that badly. And they will hopefully make a de-tour around the Borg.

A variant of this might drop the characters ship and some traders/liner in delta. Okay, I will have to upgrade them to an AKIRA for that...

I've thought about a series set on Voyager, where the characters are junior officers. When the big attack that kills some of the bridge crew happens, it gets Janeway and Tuvok, leaving the PC's in charge of the ship stuck in the Delta Quadrant. Then I can use the good points/plot ideas of the show to create a worthwhile campaign, and I can get rid of the crap.

Damn thats a BIG Exploding Consoles of Doom TM. Tuvok wasn't even aboard Voyager when it was swept into the Delta Quadrant...
