UK Children In Need. Does yor Country have anything similar?

    The questions in the topic.

I am asking as its Children In Need night at the moment.

This National Institution has been going for 30 years over here. Its aims are to raise money for underprivilaged children around the country.

This 7 hour live TV event raised over £25,000,000 last year.

This is one of the few times that you will see we "Stiff Ass Brits" being daft.

Heh. We have almost as many "Children in need" organizations as we do children.. or so it seems, once telethon season and Sally Struthers get going...

Toys for Tots, and Samaritans Purse are two seasonal programs that are starting up now. (Samaritans Purse mostly focuses on children outside the U.S. They also have programs for children here at home.) There are lots of others, those are just the first two that came to mind.
