    Thumbs up Stargate News (TV)

It was announced on Friday that Stargate SG-1 has been picked up by Sci-Fi for a seventh season. Also, all the cast members are back on board, including the return of Dr. Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks) as a member of SG-1. No news on how this will impact the Jonas Quinn character.

Also reports show that Sci-Fi's showing of Stargate SG-1 have garnered them the highest ratings in the history of the network.

    Yeehaa!

More of that absolutely stunning Samantha Carter!

She is by far my favourite character in the series...brains and beauty...you don't see too much of that in the world.

Jack O'Neill is hilarious, I like his sense of humour and attitude to everything. He and Tea'lc are a hoot when they start their banter together!

Going to watch the episode "Cure" tonight....

Officially the movie doesn't exist. Getting information on it is tough. Seventh season starts filming in Feb, probably won't air until May/June.

I'm sure Sci-Fi will really be touting the new season when it gets going, so no worries about missing it.

Sorry about the Dr. Jackson spoiler.

7th season is good news. Daniel Jackson back???? Life will be interesting. This of course means Farscape is dead.

Good luck, you see I was taught that Polish scientists working together with British army broke the Enigma code ... not that Americans stole it, or better yet British broke it themselves So what other famous things did Canadians got up to (excluding Bioware)

I think that maybe it's because, as part of the Canadian Armed Forces, they aren't actually in any of the US forces, and they seem to (in episodes i've seen at least) try to keep knowledge of the stargate from other countries. Have they actually mentioned the Canadians knowing anything about the gate?

True to a point. The Russians know the US has the Stargate, why not let their closest ally in on the surprise.

I think Canada is due, after all one of our Generals was recalled because he was spending too much money on parties for the American contingent. Also, all you would have to do is tell the Canadians there is a planet of Beer on the far side of Gou'ald (?) space....That would be the end of the System Lords
