For us, it was the Worf's an ambassador -- now he's gonna take a serious demotion to tactical officer; ignoring the prime directive to swoop in on a planet of non-warp tech guys; where was the rest of the Romulan fleet?; why is Deana suddenly telepathy, instead of just empathic?

Nope. There were a lot of little things that did this flick in for me. A couple minutes with a Trekkie or an decent editor might've cleared it up; as it was, it jarred me. (And I'm usually the guy saying "it's in the script".)
