    Design notes: I have seen 'Nemesis' and it seems that there are some ambiguity over the Norexan's size and capabilities. It is supposed to be as large as the D'deridex Warbird but in the movie a pair of Norexans don't even last a few combat rounds against the Scimitar. So basically I envisionned the Norexan as being the same size as the D'deridex but not being as sturdy, hence the removal of 10 structure pts. My theory was that the Romulans comissionned a new design based on what they learned during the Dominion War and tried to improve upon the D'deridex by creating more sophisticated and better protected systems. That they achieved, but unfortunately at the expense of structural integrity strength. Both weapons and shields are also more powerful, as the Norexan was designed to counter the mighty Dominion capital ships. I've also made it slighlty more maneuverable, but at the expense of Command bonii.

    so Romulan fans, comments are welcomed!

    The Norexans Official Dimensions

    Hi Snake!

    In Star Trek Communicator issue 141

    Page 52 Is the FX companies size comparison Chart for the Ships in Nemesis.

    The Valdore is

    604.5 Meters long

    908.3 Meters wide

    Hope that helps

    The Official Site mistakenly gives the D'Deridex Class Warbird stats listed under "Romulan Weaponry" to a picture of the Valdore. As you can see by its size this vessel is roughly half the length of the D'Deridex Warbird.

    Thank you;

    well it seems it is about half as long but much wider than the D'deridex... should it be then at size 9?

    The problem I often encounter when designing some new, post-DS9 era ship is that I don't like to "max" out all the systems to make it better than it's predecessor. In this case I realized that in my take on the Norexan the letter 'E' appears a lot...
