Weren't the PD race the Slidarians supposed to be one of the strongest races in the Galaxy? If not who has top honors, the Brikar, Gorn, Hirogen, Species 8472?
The Gorn lifted a rock that (if it weren't made of paper maché) probably weighed in the neighborhood of 750 pounds. It was able to throw this rock a considerable distance. I think that's considerably stronger than the Hirogen and 8472, but both of those races are much faster. I don't know how strong the Brikar are -- and I they're one of the things I don't like about New Frontier (I like some of the characters and directions David established for that series, but the idea that the Mugato are intelligent, and the Brikar, and certain other concepts -- just not my cuppa, sorry!)
I've seen Hirogen displayed in two different ways on Voyager. The first episode the Hirogen pretty much man handled Seven(Borg Enhanced) and Tuvok(Vulcan) like they were children. They didn't even put up a fight. The Hirogen were shown to 8-9 feet tall. On a later episode the Seven fought one in some kind of arena? It appeared to be only slightly larger than Human and Seven won. I agree the Gorn are pretty strong. That boulder in Arena wasn't a paper weight and Of course Species 8472 ripped a hole through the exterior of Voyager in Hunters. The Slidarians were a Prime Directive race that were under Klingon control and the muscle of the Empire and supposed to be pretty tough. Just curious as to who the toughest Star-Faring race is.
If anyone has created a bad a** homebrew race please post. I found one on this sight or another?, of a Humanoid race of Rhioceros like people that was pretty cool and haven't been able to find again.
I would day of the Trek Univere Races(show, movies, games and books) it would probably have to be the Brikar. They are built like tanks and can withstand damage that would easily kill most other races. Zak Kebron has done some pretty incresible fears in PAD Trek books.
