    Question Insight skill

In the LotR RPG there is a skill called Insight. I've noticed that there is no such skill in the Star Trek RPG.

In the LotR RPG a Persuade test is opposed by an Insight test, but in the Star Trek RPG it's opposed by the Savvy reaction.

Since a skill is much easier to increase, it follows that it's much easier to successfully use the Persuade skill in the Star Trek RPG.

    Why?

I'd like to add the Insight skill (based on Perception) to the skill-list of the Star Trek RPG, as a professional skill for Command Officers, Councillors, Merchants, Mystics, Rogues, Scientists and Spies and perhaps some other professions and elite professions that seem appropriate.

If I'm not mistaken, since both are Coda system, it shouldn't be any problem to lift the Insight skill right out of LoTR and transplant it into ST. You might have to tweak it a little as far as cost and which character type's can acquire it.
