O MAN I needed that today!
Thanks for brightening a horrid office day
Well, I clicked the link again in the hopes that it would be funnier the second time around, but alas, it's as dumb as it was the first time.
Can I have those 10 minutes I wasted reading it back, please?

More books
That is complete and utter BS.
I don't know how seriously we're meant to take it but that author had ever read the novel or knew anything of the story background. Then at least 95% of it can be answered with Middle Earth knowledge.
So I cannot except it as funny.
Like Ineti said, can I have my time back?

I think it was meant to be sarcastic guys. Or at least that's how I took it
I didn't find even one onouce of sarcasm in it.Originally posted by AslanC

If this was meant to be sarcasm then it was in poor taste.
And I'd hate to see his take on reality in a non sarcastic view.

31. Homage or theft(...)?
The concept of the violent dwarf was based on Al Pacino.
Anyone who does not consider this sarcasm is seriously humour-impaired.
Admittedly not everyone might think it's hilarious, I thought it was a very funny take on all the half-baked criticism of the LotR movie.

Edit: I also highly recommend the Snatch review found on the site. Very insightful without spoiling too much.

No power in the 'verse can stop me.
"You know this roleplaying thing is awfully silly, let's just roll the dice." - overheard during a D&D 3E game.
Return of the Living Dead.
If you watch closely during the Inn scene, Frodo and his crew are shown getting stabbed by the Ring Wraiths. Then, five seconds later, they are fine again. Note to the director: try proofreading your movie before you release it to the public.
if this guy would have paid attention to the movie eh would have saw that they wernt in there when the wraiths came, and it was feathers. this guy probley hasn't read the books either, what a moron.

Guys they are joking.
This is a "Stupid persons" review of the movie. IE, only an idiot would think this way.
It is satire.
I really don't understand how people can take this seriously.
But, if you have doubts, follow the link to the review of LOTR2. I guess this should make it clear.
Finding that funny is another matter. Personnally, I think it's hilarious.
"The main difference between Trekkies and Manchester United fans is that Trekkies never trashed a train carriage. So why are the Trekkies the social outcasts?"
Terry Pratchett
Exactly what Aslan said.
That was serious parody (albeit not very funny parody). I would have thought the complaints about the 'black bars' on the DVD would have given that away And it's even more obvious if you read his review of The Two Towers.
Clearly satire.
For those that "don't get it," you just revealed that you need to get out more and lighten up.
Oh I got it, but as you have noted I don't have much of a sense of humour.Originally posted by Don Mappin

Yes I do get the point
But IMO it was even remotely funny or any of the such.

Realism, schmealism.
Liv Tyler's immortal elf volunteers to give up her eternal life for a single romance with a human man. Could any man really be that well endowed? I find it unlikely.
The darkness inside me is a lot scarier than the darkness out there....
