Anyone playing?
I'm having trouble beating the lobber pods in Beet Hoven.
Only a 3rd level party or so.
Might need to wait?

Well, my usual tactic is to run around between the towns doing the missions that don't involve danger (i.e. delivering notes etc..) to ge the Xp early on - thus making the fighting missions easier.
3rd level? Shouldn't be too much of a problem I don't think (Though you'l have to remind me where you are a little more - it's been a while since I played) - what sort of party do you have?
Oh and, yes! Someone else has that game. I was wondering....
later days!

100 posts! Woot!
It's only taken me three and a half years.....
Ahem.

Makes sense. I'll just have to look at the "courier quests".
I just found the sabouteur in Stumford, and I've got a 3rd level party.
Suggestions?
I'm thinking about going and beating on monsters a while if nothing else.
Make sure you have a ranged weapon as well as melee weapon.
Approach carefully and immediately change to turn-based mode.
As soon as you kill the biting drone, immediately take pot shot at the pod.
Once if falls down, immediately grab your treasure before it is lost in the sewer.
Always look around. Sometimes they attack from the rear.
Anyhoo, just some random thoughts...

If you haven't already, check the bottom of the well in the middle of the town.
BTW, I assume you have already talked to an old deaf man about a lost manuscript (a quest).
Have to revisit MM9 again.

Been down to beet hoven.
Gotta get a light spell from the magic shop! It's dark down there!
Ok guys.
I've downloaded the patch for Anskram Keep, I've beaten the first 2 rooms of imps.
How do I open the double door?
There's supposed to be a lever but I can't find it?
I wish I knew. That's where I'm stuck....
What does the patch do? Stop it crashing when you enter/leave sometimes?

Among other things.
If you leave Anskram Keep w/o the patch, Anskram Keep supposedly becomes "unwinnable" somehow.
The patch is here , btw.
Apparently there's an 'upper entrance I didn't see. I'll report back when I find out.
That could explain a lot. Nuts..........

You can only enter into Anskram Keep from the upper entrance. To open the huge double door, you need to pull down two levers, each are located in two separate corners of the keep. From the entrance, choose left or right and go right down the corridor killing everything in your way until your reach the room at the end where the lever is located inside. Go back to the entrance area and clear the other corridor the same way. When you're done, go back to the entrance and head through the middle. Be careful of large tick-like Nagate Elders. They give me the creeps even when you kill them.
The proceeding message assumes you have already gotten the quest and key from Sigmund of Drangheim.
To open the gate, find one of the trapdoors that has two large wheels of chain. Find the lever and pull it to lift the portcullis gate. Then strike the two large chains to drop the door.

How do I get to the upper entrance. I see the halls but no stairs up?
