9. old names are now call signs..
10. no actor from the original series is returning..
after all the work Richard Hatch put in on the series, they decide to ignore him and destroy the series..
Since you brought this up....
1. Millions of women in America "run around" in sports bras, and many wear them as part of a liesure outfit when they're not working out. No biggie.
2. I actually think that's pretty cool, especially her adopting Boxey.
3. And this is a problem? I know many senior commanders in the service who just don't understand or like the new technology.
4. That may be a problem, but I can take the wait-and-see approach here. If it makes for a good storyline, then I'll be okay with it.
5. No comment on that, since it's just a crackback on Moore.
6. Actually, I think that makes for an interesting story element. The beings that your civilization built come back to destroy it. It's a good moral play (been done before, but still good).
7. Eh, I don't consider that a problem. I mean, if you're going to infiltrate humanity in an effort to destroy them, why wouldn't you create Cylons that look, smell and feel like the real thing? That's actually an intelligent idea.
8. Well, it completely depends on the reasons behind this. If it's just there for the cheesecake factor, then it's a bad idea. But, if it's used as a proper tool, I could let it slide. But hey, 5 out of 7 so far is pretty good.
9. Good. The old names were campy anyway.
10. And this is a problem, how? Greene is dead, and everyone else is 20 years older. If you're going to remake the series with a fresh start (instead of continuing the old plot), then why use actors who are much older than you want the characters to be? The only actor in the show who would fit one of the main roles would be the actor who played Boxey, since he's probably in his early-to-mid 30's now. Other than that, there's no point.
So, on the idea scale, Moore got 7 out of 9 right (as I said, 5 doesn't count, since it's a crackback and not a point). I'm perfectly fine with that.
Maybe I just have too open a mind to be overly upset at things like this. Of course, you can always dismiss me because I actually enjoy Enterprise, despite some flaws...
