Lightbulb Klingon LUG Sourcebook (fan made)

    Hi there,

As I have been reading the posts on the Cardassian Sourcebook the amount of interest there is to start creating a Klingon Sourcebook for LUG in the style of the Cardassian Netbook and the Way of D'Era Romulan book, How about a bunch of us get together at somepoint and discuss who can do what to create a quality publication for everyone to download.

I know there are a quite a few people who want to contribute something to the "pot", so, shall we start a new forum (with Don's permission) or a Yahoo group and start collating information and artwork to get something out by...say...September 2003?

    What do folk think?

I'd just like to point out that you don't need my permission to create your own Yahoo group....

Also, I'm sure someone will chime in on the various (aborted) attempts on making a Klingon SB and perhaps some reference links on work done thus far.

I would love to see a Klingon sourcebook, as the few brief sneak previews from the planned LUG book were really good - the part about the Klingon hormone similar to testosterone which is what makes them so aggressive was excellent and realistic from a biological and evolutionary standpoint. I'd be willing to help out with ideas and support if anyone wanted to tackle writing the thing (sadly, I'm devoid of Adobe Acrobat and my writing style is too dry, given it's geared towards scientific publication). I will (if Telewest ever deliver the *!£$?!ing CD) be online in my flat soon (as opposed to using the Web when my boss isn't watching...) so should be a bit quicker responding than I was when helping review the Spacedock SRMs.

There were some threads about it in the past, and I even managed to grab the Starships chapter, but that is primarily how far it got. Like the Planet Sourcebook, sadly.

Is there any chance of it starting up again? If needed I could help with some of the stuff for it if needed.

    Thumbs up EXCELLENT

Well...........thanks for the offers............we'll have to meet up in the trek chat room in mIRC or I'll start a Yahoo group.

I did receive a email from a chap called Thierry Duff that had a Microsoft Word document of what someone had already created for a Klingon Sourcebook.........I'll distribute it around and we'll have a brainstorming session about how we are going to approach this.

I did read about the hoo-ha with the "klingon Language Academics" argueing with the gamers about things......I don't want any of that.......I want to create a two book sourcepack like the Cardassian sourcepack is (if any of those chaps would like to help, I'd be grateful. )

    Speak to you soon

Try a search for the phase 'Cardassian Sourcebook', it'll give you a link for downloading.

Its very cool (but then I would say that I contributed ).

I'll be with you - if I get the ship chapter

At home I've got a range of ships already finished , along with some sketches.

Speaking of fan made sourcebooks, whatever happened to the Trill book?
