    Finally!

Check out this link (be warned, it has spoilers):

For all you out there who want to see Travis Mayweather actually be important to the story, looks like it's finally going to happen.
He's my favorite character, so I'm looking forward to this one.

Travis Mayweather is not the only character that is need of a spotlight. Hoshi Sato and Malcolm Reed are overdue for their own episode.

IOW, we really do not want to see any more of the Nearly Nekkid Engineer (NNE) Trip Tucker.

No kidding. Practically the entire second season has focused on him. He is my LEAST favorite character, mainly because he's not really an engineer, IMO... I think I've seen him in the engine room maybe once since the pilot episode. I'll be convinced he's an engineer the first time he yells, "Captain, the antimatter containment fields are collapsing!"

What about "Fortunate Son?" Sorry, your post sounds like there's never been an episode focusing on Travis when there actually has.

Okay, there was that one, I admit, and it was a decent episode. But when you compare that one episode to the multiple ones focusing on Archer, T'pol, and Trip...
That's one of the only things I don't like about ENT: they focus on a few characters at the expense of all the others.

I've said it during VOYAGER series run, and I'll say it again:

    That's Braga for ya.

No offense, but what does Brannon Braga have to do with it? I read an interview with him in an early issue of ST: The Magazine about Voyager Season 5, where he commented that their goal for that year was to give all the characters equal spotlight time after Season 4, which was an entire season of "The Seven of Nine Show-" which Braga himself admitted.

But then again, I'm just one of those people who refuses to use Rick Berman and Brannon Braga as scapegoats for the problems of the entire Trek franchise. And BTW, don't comment on that statement because I want this thread to stay on topic.

Well, you said it for me. I just hope he does not repeat the same mistake he did with VOYAGER.

Although this thread is focused on Travis, I have to ask on behalf of the other ENTERPRISE cast. When are we going to see a Hoshi-themed episode? What about an episode that spotlight Armory Officer Reed?

Hey, I know! Why not rehash a theme from the old TNG archive and feature junior officers and enlisted personnel (aside from the main cast) in an episode?

    You think its just Enterprise?

Every Incarnation of Trek has focused on the big 3.

    TOS: Kirk, Spock, McKoy
TNG: Picard, Data (the 3rd is hazy but towards the end it was Worf)
    DS9: Sisco, Kira, DAX
    VOY: Janeway, Tuvok, Belanna
    ENT: Archer, T'pol, Tucker

I'd put good money that these 3 from each series got more spotlights then any other characters of their incarnation.

    VOY: Janeway, Tuvok, Belanna
Or, from season 4 onwards - Janeway, 7 of 9, and the EMH.

Though I'd argue that TNG and DS9 did it less then TOS, VOY or ENT.

Though in the latter two cases, it seems to be less a starting idea and more of a 'this is who people want to see so we'll put them on more' (or, for the cynics - 'this is who some/stupid people want to see so we'll put them until we do them to death )

Hoshi has been featured in "Fight or Flight" and the one with her transporter fear (can't remember what it was called.) Unfortunately both of those were awful episodes... and that's coming from someone who usually enjoys the show.

You mean like "Lower Decks?" Great idea... why not feature Ensign Cutler, a guest start junior officer who we've seen twice before? It would add some continuity... I always like recurring characters.
