    Ent Tholians (possible spoilers)

Just saw the ep introducing the Tholians into Enterprise. Have to say what I saw was pretty good. Fairly exciting story, and they kept to the no visual contact with them (continuity kept so far), and they kept the original ship designs. All-in-all a cool ep.

They are indeed on a roll... let's hope they can keep it going. I haven't watched it yet... I taped it on my VCR.

Liked it. the Tholian ships were nicely updated.
"War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

I managed to catch tonight's episode (in between homework assignments) and thought that it was pretty good, too. I really liked the updated appearance of the Tholian ships, and the bit of mystery as to what their role is in the Temporal Cold War. Plus, it was nice to see the Vulcans brought down a notch, so to speak, as their vessel was disabled, requiring Enterprise to offer assistance.

The idea of the character in the future ship (and the ship itself) was interesting, and I hope that they reveal more about that in future episodes, as well as offer a bit more explanation about what information and materials are still in Daniel's quarters on the ship.

Still, all in all, a good episode. It left a lot of questions, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. It's certainly managing to keep things interesting.

By the way, next week's episode looks pretty good, too.

    Y-y-yeahhh!

ENT is on the road to doing quality story episodes. I mean it's like ... Braga is no longer the show's executive producer.

Wow! Dreams do come true! ROTFLMAO!!!

I enjoyed this episode. But I fear ENT might be handling the temporal war storyline the same way X-Files handled the conspiracy.
Meaning there's no real and definite plan how it all ties together and the episodes dealing with it bring up more questions than the series can answer.

Nonetheless it was a fun ride.

I never watched X-Files so I don't really know what you're talking about, but I understand the problem you're mentioning... often writers are a little too ambitious with recurring story arcs.

    If it's true... oh *&%&6753$@%!

If it's not, which is a lot more likely, some ENT-basher is trying way too hard at it.

Same here... but this reminds me too much of some April's Fool or other false information we had before. When reading this script I was expecting a mention of Daniels picking up Archer in a police blue box at some time...

Mind you... parts of this idea is not that awful. Might be used for some parallel universe in a game or something like that... hey... yeah....

Unfourtuantely Trek Naton has been consistently accurate in its information and they filter it through a couple of sources before they post it.

The basic idea is sound a piece of the Borg Time ship from First Contact is found does not mean that the Borg themselves are understood or IDed. This would have worked really well as a Hollween show with say Reed recounting (ala Carbon Creek) what happen to a relative a few years before.

    Damn!

I guess like all dreams, it has to end and I have to wake up to the harsh, cold reality. Oh well, it was good while it lasted.

And FYI, I'm a Braga basher, ENT just happened to be caught in the crossfire like VOY; i.e., collateral damage.
