...and the first session went pretty well.
Two of the five players couldn't make it for various reasons but the other three showed up, so we sallied forth. Following the usual BS sessions and my checking the character sheets and revising histories as needed, we got underway.
It was a lot of fun shaking the dust off the old narrating skills. Parts of the session went as planned, I had to ad-lib some stuff, but overall it went well.
I got to see some good role-playing out of the players, even as they start getting settled in a new character in a new setting and a new game system. There wasn't any combat this evening, but there were a few skill tests to make, and things went fine.
The main plot of the story got underway, and the session ended with the PCs getting ready to head out on their quest. (I know I'm being vague on the plot details--I'll post the synopsis later).
All in all, a good time was had by all, and I think I've got the start of a really good game here.![]()
