*Lovingly pets his Season 1 set*

I can't wait to get home and spend the next 19 hours in DS9 bliss.

I don't like the layout of the DVD menu... I understand they want to represent the Cardassian computer style, but the TNG DVDs had a screenshot of the episode, and the LCARS design allowed it to stand out a bit more. The DS9 DVDs don't give pictures of the episodes at all... which I would have liked to see.

Ah well... I never got to see DS9 regularly, so it will be fun to watch all these episodes, most for the first time.

Watched "Emissary," "Past Prologue," and "A Man Alone" tonight. Damn fine viewing. It's nice to sit back and bask in the glory that is DS9.

Oh, yeah. I'd forgotten how much I like "Past Prologue." Garak is definitely one of my favorite Trek characters. Evar.

Got the bairn to bed early last night and watched "Babel" and "Captive Pursuit." Tonight it's "Q-Less" and maybe "Dax."

I love that show. I do understand where some people believe Garak has homosexual tendencies though. He seemed, to me at least, to be really touchy-feely toward Bashir in that show. Maybe he was just putting Bashir on the defensive or something.

At any rate, Past Prologue is a winna in my book.

Hmmm. The thought never crossed my mind. I always assumed he detected Bashir's nervousness and was just having some fun with him. I epecially liked the scene where Bashir is sitting down and Garak walks behind him and places his hands on Bashir's shoulders. A very intimidating gesture IMO - "Gee, I believe this guy's a dangerous spy, and now he's standing where I can't see him."

On the other hand, he is a very neat "clothier" with good fashion sense...

Watched "Babel" and "Captive Pursuit" last night. Great fun. I can see both making good RPG stories.

    Where did my money go?

I'd saved up for the DS9 boxed set, which I picked up last night. But then I see Red Dwarf seasons one and two next to it...

    Welcome to my world!

    March 4: Star Trek IV
    March 25: Futurama Vol. 1
    April 1: DS9 Season 2
    April 29: Babylon 5 Season 2

Looks like I'm not going to have any spare change until June...

Ooh, damn! I forgot ST IV was hitting shelves on March 4. Coolio! That'll be my next purchase, followed by DS9 Season II on April 1.

I may not be watching ENT and I didn't see Nemesis, but Paramount's still getting my Trek money.

Having begun viewing last night, I've come to the conclusion that DS9 was the best of the Trek series. Including my beloved TOS.

I'm now going to church to confess my heresy...

Actually DS9 has long been my favorite modern Trek, it's only now I'm able to admit that I enjoy it more than TOS. Though I still love TOS.

Best of the "new Treks?" without a doubt. Better than TOS? Possibly..... er, maybe...... OK DAMMIT!! It was the best Trek ever!!

    God, I feel so dirty...

But just imagine Kirk in Sisko's place in the park scene in "Emissary" when "Jennifer" asks him about kissing and children... Now that's Boldy Going Where No Man Has Gone Before.
