    If I'm counting correctly, that's 58 species. Like "Starships," this looks like a pretty good list. Thanks for posting this and "Starships" Don.

    NICE! Almost every species I'm interested in is there. (The only missing species of interest to me are the Denobulans and the Melkot. And since the former are likely to be changed significantly, and the latter are more of a plot device than an actual encounter, I can see why they wouldn't be present.)

    The only one I was interested in that isn't there are the Tiburonese...and are the Axanar the ones from the Axanar Rebellion, or just the Enterprise episode (and does Paramount consider them one and the same)?

    I'm kind of suprised to see the Q listed. I always figured them for a "plot device" - how do you stat out an omnipotent species?

    There are other races (and ships, for that matter) that are in the Star Fleet Operations Manual; I think I remember Doug mentioning once upon a longish time ago that the Tiburonians are in there.

    That's right. Don't forget there are eight Species in the Ops Manual (only a couple of which are duplicated in Aliens).

    Also, thanks go to Don for posting that for me when I wasn't able to.

    I can't help but notice a very obvious and frankly, quite disturbing, omission from the Aliens list.
    Surely the lack of SHELIAK in that book is some sort of gruesome oversight?
    Perhaps they're being saved for a great big hardcover sourcebook down the road?
    Or. Is this just the latest transgression of the Decipher Humanoids?

    Decipher is already in negotiations for "The Sheliak RPG" sharing the Sheliak now, could have hurt future sales.
