Enthusiasm is such a wonderful thing

So, I was planning to start my Fourth Age chronicle this weekend, but I hadn't heard much from my players over the past few weeks, so I had no idea what characters they'd be playing or if they were even interested in the game any more. I was feeling a little let-down, not sure if anyone was as fired up about LOTR as I.

I send out an email yesterday to sort of whack the beehive a bit to see if anyone was awake, and a deluge of emails followed yesterday and into today. Ideas are flowing left and right, and the group is really bouncing off the walls to play.

As narrator, I'm feeding off this of course. It's nice to have rabid players.

My only worry now is that the session won't live up to the hype.

Our sessions have a reocurring problem. Several players are convinced that the Rohirrim are all dirty Frenchmen and proceed to roleplay like the French castle guys in MP and the Holy Grail...

    Extremely funny...

Oh, yeah.. you've got problems.. I have a player (One of Two) refusing to play because I offend his world view, because I won't let him know Aragorn, you know, and know who he is... cause he believes that all Arthedainian Dunadain know him, they're a step outside of inbred, appearently.
If you give a monkey control over it's environment, it will fill the world with bananas, and whereas that is a great accomplishment, it's still a very stupid thing to do. --Doctor Who #2
