    Pioneer 10 Falls Silent

Read about what appears to be the end of its 31-year mission here. Got some good mileage from the little critter...

Well, her mission isn't over, we just don't get to hear about it any more. A fine little ship, she is, seeing things mankind may never see with their own eyes.

I'll expect a postcard from Aldebaran in 4 million years. Till then - bon voyage.

It is an amazing feeling to know that there is some little piece of mankind on a lonesome voyage through the stars. Fascinating.

Great little bird...they don't build 'em like that any more.

    Q'plah!, Pioneer 10!

Maybe one of our great-great grandchildren will be on the exploration vessel that picks it up and brings it back for a museum piece.

..or maybe, if there really will be a StarFleet someday, they'll mount it over the bar aboard the starship Pioneer.

    I like that thougth.
