Fesarius has got it right: if the box office and ratings aren't there, the franchise is in trouble -- like it or not.
I like Enterprise, on the whole -- better than Voyager. Nemesis, on the other hand, was pretty average, at best, but the real killer -- "Hey, guys, let's release it the week before LOTR, with the latest Bond flick in the theaters, and a bunch of other stuff out there."
Bad timing, but also a bad movie.
"War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
John Stuart Mill
