Sometimes The Magic Works by Terry Brooks

This is the autobiography written by fantasy novelist Terry Brooks that talks about his experiences as a writer. This book was just released. I am a big fan of his books, so I just had to read this one. I have read a few chapters so far and it is a very entertaining book: his sense of humor is marvelous, which I also noticed when I met him at one of his appearances at a local bookstore. If you want an idea about how seriously he takes himself, look at the chapter list- the first chapter is titled I Am Not All Here.

Even if you have not read his books, or didn't like them, if you are interested in the art, craft, and profession of writing, you will like this book. I highly recommend it.
