View from Baghdad (Amazingly, not political!)

"Salam Pax" is a web-logger living in Baghdad, Iraq. He is taking quite a risk posting from there. ("You Know Who", as he puts it, would be unamused to say the least...)If you're the religious type, you might want to say a few for him. What he's getting set to go through makes my Hurricane posts last summer pale in comparison.

At first, I thought "Interesting choice of name..."

"Salam Pax" being very acoustically similar to "Salman Pak," a troubling place for the anti-war folks.

But, naah. Probably Pax as in Latin for Peace, no? "Salam" = "salaam?"

An interesting post from a rarely-seen point of view.

Yes it is an interesting thing to read. I do feel for him and what he is about to go through and the frustration he is feeling.

Though I do disagree that he postings are not somewhat political, for he very clearly expresses his political views about the pretty sure upcoming war.

By not political, I meant that I was passing the link along without any commentary on my part. The Pro/Anti-war debate got excessively heated on this board. As one of thones who had beed adding gasoline & tobasco sauce to the previous debates, I felt the need to include that caveat to the thread title to show that it was safe to read for anti-war folks with high blood pressue.
