Any 12 inch Action Figure Collectors out there?

I was wondering if anybody around here collects 12 inch action figures like GI Joe, Ultimate Soldier, Dragon etc.... I started two years ago with a GI Joe "Bastogne Joe" and a paratrooper uniform and have not look back since. If you do whats the size and the make up of your collection.

P.S. if anybody uses the D (Doll) word, that a fight'en word in my book.

Real men collect old 1970s Mego 8 inch Star Trek figures.

Seriously though, no. I don't collect 12 inch figures, but I did spend quite a bit of time on eBay, putting together my Mego Star Trek collection.

Does that count?

The only collection I have is the 25th Anniversary TOS 6-in figure collection. But I drool over those Soldiers of the World stuff all the time.

I was over at Toys R Us before Christmas, and they had these awesome 48"-wing span, highly-detailed WWII toy fighters. One was a F-4U Corsair (with a British logo on it, for some reason....I didn't think the RAF/RN flew the F-4U) and German Stuka dive bomber. They were about $50 each, and I would have bought them if I weren't shopping for other people....

Too bad I didn't have any boys....

Hmmm, I have two Tick figures (one animated-version, one live-version), Tim the Enchanter, and Battle-Fury Angus (...due to some odd friends...).

Most of the figures I have are in the 25mm range, though

I have a few 12" Joes, a Max Steel, an Ultimate Soldier and a few Lanark figures. I've also got an old Marx Western figure - you know, the ones with the clothes moulded on and a huge assortment of accessories. The one I have is the Sheriff figure with the Dean Martin headsculpt. I also have an old Atomic Man (basically a Bionic GI Joe).

My favourite is a GI Joe HoF "Streetfighter" M. Bison head on a Lanark body, dressed in civvies with a 21st Century long-barreled .357 Colt Python in a home-made leather shoulder holster. Basically, an early Mack Bolan (from the first few Executioner books, round about Assault on Soho or Nightmare in New York ) custom figure. I'm working on a scale .44 Automag.

I have a 12" Qui-Gon and a 12" Obi-Wan...

Once upon a time, I found a website that sold Aliens -style Colonial Marine gear for 12" GI Joe figures. The stuff was really cool, but natually I couldn't afford it.

Hmmm....I wonder how Qui-Gon would look armed with a pulse rifle...

I have quite the collection of Kirk figures going, at all sorts of scales from various product lines, and a healthy dose of other Playmates smaller figures (Gorn, Koloth, Miror Spock, 2 Borg, Tuvok, Andorian...), the big Playmates 1701-B, a couple of tricorders, the Playmates TOS shuttlecraft...and a custom Mego Kirk with the Fonz' arms so he can put up his dukes for a fist-fight!

...and too many superhero and other figures to fit on the wall.
