I think this will appeal to some of the guys on the boards...
"War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

I shall use this in a game coming up for an ultra powerful modern warship. Not for Federation use though, used for a war though maybe.

Maybe as an updated version of the Fesarius.

The Fesarius is Balok's monstrous ship from the First Federation in the TOS episode "The Corbomite Maneuver."

Geez, Matt, you act like you've never seen the original episodes. What are you, 15 or something?

You know I'm just kidding about the age thing, right?

I suppose that was a crack at my Galaxy-class Dreadnaught. While I do realize that ship was beyond the capabilities of the Federation or most other races in the Milkyway (With one exception the Borg). To paraphrase Q " You judge yourselves by the pitiful adverseries you've faced so far, the Klingons, the Romulans. Their nothing compared to what's waiting for you out here." or something like that. Anyway I hope you understand that there are way more powerful races out there. Some are in a galaxy far far away. Others just in the dimension next door. But anyway I always try to put the characters first and technobable second in my story.

You would be surprised Sea Tyger. I have seen most TOS episodes. JUst not all of them. I catch the reruns on Sci-fi channel.

    Gee whillikers!

What an awesome design! I can't wait to give one of these to my players, just as soon as you post the complete detailed deck plans.
