I just had a very interesting conversation with the owner of Gamer's Realm (a huge gaming store located out of New Jersey). He informed me that at a recent gaming convention he spoke with the owner of Decipher.

According to Decipher, they have hired a number of former members of LUG (who were let go from WoTC), who will be developing the new Trek RPG from Decipher. He also indicated the game would bear a striking resembalance to LUG Trek.

Don, Steve, SJohn, care to comment? Is this true, or partially true??

I'm not one to start rumors, but this sounded genuine.

Well, the rumors were bound to start sooner or later.

The official line, and all I am going to say, or have been asked to say, is: “no comment.”

Until you see something official I would advise you minimize speculation and wait for a press release from Decipher. Afterwards, all will be made clear.
