ONly a small point, but I'd hope they're going to have a much bigger fleet than that if they're going to conquor Bajor. Given the size of fleets DS9 and the Defiant has fought off in the past, and the fact that Starfleet would mobilise a large fleet to defend Bajor as well, I don't think that would be easy. Of course, if it was easy, it wouldn't be worth doing.
Well the idea would be that they conquor a bunch of smaller worlds first, and set to slave labour building them ships by the truck load, those that don't build get drafted into the Legio Alienus Mortuus to be used as shock troops that can be poured into any fight, long past the point any rational would have considered it too costly.

But perhaps Bajor has had enough of the boot for now, maybe I should have them go on a tear through the TOS planets and conquor them one by one

Bajor may be a little much. Especially if the MR only have a small fleet. If the former Fed ships are just the first rank ships (fleet command ships) and they have other smaller ships to help... It would be a short occupation though. I could only see it being effective because the attack came so out of left field.
True, but I think I will do the tour of the TOS Humanoids instead, avoiding the ones with super powers of course

I'm setting my episode up in screenplay format. The visual you got me thinking about was just too perfect for the teaser that I just had to go with it. The Excelsior class ship is not the same as in the main time line. Imagine the saucer and secondary hull combined with no "neck" and the warp nacelles amidships bent down. Similar to the Fed carrier on some websites. Specifically recalling the age when the Empire had biremes and triremes.
Sounds neato...I would love to take a look at those if you ever get pics done up

I decided not to use bireme, trireme, et al for the classes of the Imperial ships but wanted to give something that sounded Roman. This is what I've come up with: Galea Sagitta - Miranda class, Galea Palatina - Constitution class, and Galea Primaria - Excelsior class. They also use proelia (fighters).
Could you translate those words and tell us what they mean? Sagitta, Palatina, Primaria?

now to expand from a one shot store to at least a two parter.

Let me know how it all turns out dude

Interesting stuff.

It has some Babylon 5 elements in it, but still enough DS9 to make it flow...I like that

Thank you. :-) My players seem to love it.

As for my campaign, I am actually trying to make the season finale not too heavy on already active subplots.

That said if I go with the Magna-Roman thingy, it does play on an already established subplot involing our helmsman who is Magna-Roman and his brothers are following the General who is leading this Nova Glorificus

I would definitely go with the Magna-Roman idea. This way, you have a plot that can lead into larger issues, plus you personally get the players involved.

Imperator would be the correct term but it is associated with emperor and could cause confusion.

Already approached him, but he is worried that people would steal his ideas...so I have to make sure not to use any of his stuff.

So I have to make up my stuff all myself

If you are looking for good Magna Roman ideas then you should visit www.ussliberty.net a fanfic site that is a definate cut above the usual weak stuff you find.
The author has an interesting Magna Roman rebirth of empire storyline that you might mine for ideas.

Nowe are about to go into our 18th episdoe, and that means we are about 6 to 9 episodes away from the season finale (I have to decide if I go 23 or 26 episodes for the first season)

That said I am looking for a really kick ass idea for the season finale and I am drwing a blank. I want it to be heavy on roleplaying, some action and be sure to have all my players involved.

I would go the 26-episode route since you've made it this far, but have two of the episodes be a two-parter ala "Workforce" or telefilm ala "Dark Frontier". Have the adventure be larger than what the crew usually is involved in.

As for the season finale, one idea is that the Romulans have suddenly turned hostile on the two deep-space vessels sent to rendevous with the USS Voyager. They are limping their way back home after being attacked by rogue Romulan forces, and your ship is sent to meet up and escort them home, while helping the Romulans catch those who initiated these unauthorized attacks.

Very nice Zymmer! I look forward to hearing more, since i'm a student of the ol' Roman days.

With your Legions/groundforces/shocktroops are you going to maintain Roman formations/ranks etc? ie Cohorts, Maniples etc.
