    USS Bonaventure help?

Okay so I am working on my new campaign, which will have elements of both the Star Trek Genesis idea and the Star Trek Andromeda idea.

So I began toying with names and hit...

    USS Bonaventure

    Now I need a ship.

I have narrowed it down to a Galaxy Class (so many resources available and all that civilian stuff) or a Nebula (Love the class as well)

    What do you think?

Vote and please feel free to add your comments or ask questions

Given the choice, I'd go with the Nebula as it has many of the resources of the Galaxy but is a smaller ship with a few more limitations. That may give it a slightly more homey feel.

You can easily add civilians to it.

Also, just a minor point but there is a Galaxy named Venture officially so you might want to avoid having such a similar name for another.

    Regards,
    CKV.

Nebula. So similar to the Galaxy class, you can use the Enterprise D blueprints for most of it. But also different enough from the Galaxy class to have it's own 'identity'.

I find deck plans to be incredibly useful. But the Nebula will make your campaign more distincitve. So, I'd go Galaxy if you have the deck plans, Nebula otherwise.

    1. It's modular.
    2. Lots of good images.
    3. It's modular.
    4. You can use the saucer deckplans from the Galaxy, since they're effectively identical.
    5. It's modular.
    6. You can do the occasional starbase/planetary adventure while the ship is changing modules for the next mission.
    7. It's modular!

Edit: Did I mention it was modular?

    Hey Sea Tyger,

You forgot to mention it was modular.

To be honest I really can't vote for either...They saw too much use in the series. I kinda like using other ships, when I plan games.

I've always liked the New Orleans or Med.-Classes.

I would say Nebula for reasons clearly stated above in that it is modular , also it is something slightly new to the players above and beyond the Galaxy, but still has the Galaxy feel to them.

More than three times isn't funny anymore.

You know, there's this old saying that moms usually drill into their children:

"If you can't say anything nice..."

Remember the rest? I think it still applies here.

Yeah and there's another one about opinuions and @$$holes, and how everybody has one.

Seriously the secret to comedy is repetition.

    Unhappy

I didn't mean to be rude. It's just that I was in my daily low when writing this. I apologise for any offenses.
I am simply a little bit stressed at the moment.

And really, I think three times is the optimum for that kind of joke. Any more and it becomes less amusing. But that is just my opinion.
