Post CHARACTER CREATION REFERENCE SHEET Version 1.201

Today, I have added in many ideas and changes suggested by many people including Rebel1701.
I also added in the Advancement Rules fixed some Errors in the first one.
Two people here in the forum myself and PGoodman13 both have posted Character Creation Summaries, both of us are taking 2 different approaches and ideas on how to do this. This is how we present the information to how we set our layouts. This includes information. I feel adding in the more current CC expanded information in mine and he choose not too. Some people like his and some people like mine.
Cool, I am all for it, but he and I are both posting these because we think their is a serious need for this and this is meant to be helpful to anyone new or old to the Star Trek RPG.

    Here is PGoodman13's Thread.

So here is my version 1.2. Please tell me your suggestions all of them are needed. This is a work in progress.

David Riggen spotted a major error on the rolling attributes section so I made Version 1.201

    Hey my opinion

Without Star Trek: The Original Series there would be no other Trek Series or Movies regardless of shows rewriting the Series past.

T'lara, what a GREAT tool. Many congratulations for capturing the Character Generation rules into a single, concise document (which is more than Decipher ever seem to have done ...)

First off, let me say that I can appreciate the effort that goes into one of these things. I, personally, haven't had the time to do one, so I'm glad there are those out there willing to do so.

    Now, just a few points:

"Choose Tier"? I assume you mean Professional Ability (or maybe even Tier One Professional Ability)...

Repeating "prioritize" on both methods of attribute generation seems somewhat repetitive to me. As does having the action at the begining of each step all CAPS.

"choose 1 Additional so you can..." Additional what? I know you mean Flaw, but a new player might not.

IMO, Species Abiltities should have been recorded when the species was chosen. Especially since some give levels in skills and makes them Professional Skills.

Okay, now on the formatting. Seems cluttered to me. too much information packed so tightly together could drive away those who might otherwise warm up to a more eye-friendly document.

Also, the bolding seems distracting. I would prefer to have my eye drawn to the next step, rather than all the page numbers throughout the whole document.

Also, the step headings should at least be a different (read, larger) size than the rest of the text. As they stand, they blend in entirely too easy, even with the spiffy arrow-head bullets.

And finally, if you're going to go with an outline style, why not go all the way? Instead of capitalizing the begining of each step, Number it, letter it, or otherwise draw it into a more outline-ish format. This would also help with the cramped feeling and the header issue as well.

At least, that's my opinion. I could be wrong...

Thank you, Doug I'll take all in my new version. I should be using 8 words a line. I know I should know better
As I said it is a work in progress and I might do some work on the Kerning and Leading as I see as you pointed out some issues with this sheet. I just do not have alot of time to work on this as I am busy with school and such. Every Day in college I learn something new to add into this. So it adds more and more to how this will look like.
You have been very helpful and thank you. I noticed a few myself that you have not mentioned.
All this will be in the new sheet when I have that done.

The next sheet I make will be hopefully easier to read and less cramped. I hate cramped too.

So please anyone I love the suggestions Good and Bad
