OKay I am interested in giving the idea of a message board a fair try.

I have never run one of these, but I am really keen to try.

Well positions are yet to be decided. I might do a lotto for places everyone wants, or maybe simply suggest submitting ideas and seeing which one I prefer.

I do ask that if you do not get your first choice, you keep in mind there will be other choices

So i don't profess to be breaking any new ground here, but...

The basic idea I have so far is a Starbase located in freespace, just north of the Cardassian space. So North West of the Bajor Sector. Post Nemesis.

I would like to do the joint mission starbase idea.

Sort of a Babylon 5 for Star Trek

That means lots of interesting character openings.

Cardassian, Romulan, Klingon, Bajoran and Federation diplomatic team members

Starfleet crew running the show.

The Klingons, Cardies, Rommies and Feddies will all have ships operating out of the station, so room for the Captains of those ships.

Plus the Ferengi are going to want to take advantage of this, and also maybe be upset at the increased Starfleet presence having an adverse effect on trade in the area.

The Orions will be sending a delegate to show that theya re not all slavers and pirates.

Various business will exist on the station as well, allowing for some interesting characters there.

Not sure what kind of station it will be, but I am open to suggestions.

Don't much care for either diplomats, or street-level characters right now.

That translates to yes. Since our lovely weather has shut down Calgary, I am not off out of town so I will probably be back to ask questions once I have had lunch and a snooze.

That is if the hockey game does not grab me...starts considering some of the ideas from last night. *grin*

I see this game having 3 tiers

1 tier is the Diplomatic stuff

2nd tier the ships and their commanders

3rd tier the criminal/merchant level stuff

Other than Liz possibly joining I am gonna close the roster for now.

There will be room for others down the line, but right now this will be the limit.

Now then.

As to characters.

I am hoping the lion's share will be station personel or members of the various diplomatic parties.

I am allowing 1 rogue for now. But much like Quark, there had better be a reason for you to be involved with the others, our you may find yourself roleplaying all by yourself.

Please feel free to PM me with your 3 character ideas.

Why 3? So no one gets their hopes pinned too much on one idea and then if they can't play it, becomes disgruntled.

I prefer very gruntled players
