Post CHARACTER CREATION REFERENCE SHEET Version 1.3

Taking the suggestions Doug Burke posted and some of the other changes I have been recently taught. I have made a alot of approvements to this one.

This is not as cluttered as the first. My readabilty is much better here.
I also added in more pages and number references from Starfleet Operations Manual.

Give me your thoughts Please. Good and/or Bad this is all to help all of us.

Without Star Trek: The Original Series there would be no other Trek Series or Movies regardless of shows rewriting the Series past.

Looks fine. Should be especially helpful to those new to the system or don't do a lot of character creation.
"War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

Looks much better, T'lara. Good job.

Although I had another thought. Since you can take up to two flaws at any time during the personal and professional development process, perhaps you should remove the references to "take 1 additional falw" and replace them with a note at the end of the section along the lines of "Optional: You can take up to two flaws during personal or professional development. Doing so allows you to also take a corresponding number of Edges." Or something like that.

Ok Doug this is what I am looking at to change. Anyone can post their opinion about this as well. The changes you had in below this is all of Step Three on my sheet.

    >Step Three: Select Development Skills
Choose Species Skills: Every Character receives a number of Skill Picks equal to his INT x 2 for Knowledge & Language Skills. (Star Trek Player’s Guide pg. 85)
Choose Edge: 1 Automatic Edge in either Personal or
Professional Development. (Star Trek Player’s Guide pg. 86)

Choose Flaw (Optional): You can take up to two flaws during Personal or Professional Development. Doing so allows you to also take a corresponding number of Edges. (Star Trek Player’s Guide pg. 86)
Choose Personal Development: Record your Personal Developement Package (Star Trek Player’s Guide pgs. 87-89).
Choose Professional Development: Record your Professional Developement Package (Star Trek Player’s Guide pgs. 90-96 & Starfleet Operations Manual pgs. 40).

In case, anyone is wondering when I will update the next Character Creation Rules ver 1.4. This will not be made until after the Aliens Manual comes out. As pointed out by Doug Burke in another thread there are going to be some new Personal Life Packages in the book. Thus I need the page numbers for reference. I am also going to be adding a reference to Mixed Species quoting staight out of the books. (No House Rules)

I am also in the midist of making a few more Trek Charts to post that will be hopefully useful to many a Narrator and Player.
One is I am going to write a quick reference sheet for Starfleet Regulations so the Narrator and/or Player can have them infront of themselves. This is the chart in Starfleet Operations Manual.

I am also going to make a list of all the Trek Species that have been published by Decipher with what book and page numbers to refer to so Narrators have this at their finger tips and can say X Species is allowed but Y Species is not. Also quick reference so I can find my enemy or friendly Species information. This can also help out Players find the Species that most want to play.

Last but not least I am working on a Quick Reference Sheet for all the Technophiles here. Once Character Creation Rules are sound my next sheet will be tackled is a Quick Reference Sheet on Starship Creation! And yes, I do own Starships . It will be designed in the same format as the latest version of the Character Creation Rules ver 1.4 when that is posted. This will be vary similar layout as the current Character Creation Rules ver 1.3.
