    Habla Espanol?

Now the circle is complete! A thread for each of the languages that were taught at my high school, and I would guess most American high schools (I'd be interested in hearing which languages are taught at other ones). As I've said elsewhere, My Dad was in the Air Force and I spent parts of my childhood in Spain, Texas, and New Mexico. I started school in Texas, and was taught Spanish in the elementary schools in Texas and New Mexico. I've said that German is my second language, but I guess actually it's pretty hard to tell which I understand more of: German, Spanish, or Norwegian.

I live in New Mexico, but don't speak Spanish...more as a protest to those too lazy to learn the language the majority speak here. I can read it, however, due to speaking Italian.

And before anyone jumps down my throat, I've learned the language of every country I've traveled or lived in. Learn the language the law is written in...it's just good sense.

Go fig. I went to college about 60 miles NNW of you. College of Santa Fe, to be exact. (Wouldn't want to be mistaken for someone from St. John's...)
