    Nice.
I think she is very close to what I would have done, except for the phasers. I'd probably have gone for 4 or 5 Type VIIIs and used the extra spaces for added structure and cargo space, but that's just me.

    Just two more comments:
    (1) The number of transporters is Half Size rounded down, as per NG page 139. Having 4 transporters would cost you 1 space.
    (2) I take it you took the LN-72 warp twice, to allow it on a size 7 ship. Why not use the LN-64 Mod 3 and prototype it to the LN-72 speeds?
(BTW, if you stick to the letter of the rules you would have to pay 2 spaces more for the warp system to cover early availability, even if it's only a single year, but I guess we can ignore that. )

Hmm, would the prototyping cost my 1 space per warp factor so 3 total or just 1 space for all? Thanks for the comments. I'n still a unsure about the phasers. The Excelsior definately has the 14 blisters but giving it 7 does make it pretty deadly.

    Fixed the transporters

And I just notice about the dates, so i think i will switch to warp prototype when i figure out it's cost.

I'm assuming just an extra space for the prototype and 1 space for the extra transporters leaving me 7 spaces left over for future upgrades

I may be wrong concerning the Prototype trait, but as I understand it you use it to "shift" the complete speed category, i.e. you take it once and get the complete set of warp speeds from (e.g.) the LN-72 for your LN 64 Mod 3. As this would be a beneficial shift of one row this edge would be worth 2 spaces (cost = twice the number of rows shifted, as per page 28).

Ok, I added the extra point for prototyping.
    Thanks for the help Lancer.
