Thread: electronic Character Sheets

  1. electronic Character Sheets

Before the games that Ineti, thiskitty, and I used to play were put on eternal hiatus, I made the LotR RPG Character Sheet from the Core Book electronic via Acrobat 4. To save Ineti from trying to decipher (no pun intended) my hand-writing. If you want to use them, please feel free.

The eCS are saved for Acrobat Reader 3.x - 5.x. If you want to make changes for your characters, I recommend that you RC on the file name > save target as > dl to your HDD > open in Reader 3.x - 5.x > make character up and then save / print. The forms are interactive, so changes that you make to one will impact others (e.g., Nimbleness: 3 is transferred to all other skills / feats that are based on Nimbleness).

Passwords are not set - not mine to own. The sheets are from Decipher, forms added by me.

Right click on Downloadable linkage and then save to your HDD.

Feel free to make changes to the sheet and zap me an e-mail if you so choose. To make changes to the forms themselves (editing the buggers), you'll need Acrobat 4.x - 5.x (6.x come out yet?). Reader will allow you to adapt the sheets to your character, but to edit, you'll need the full-blown version (if you're running Linux, I'll take a look to see what *.pdf authorware is out there if Adobe and Linux aren't playing nicely right now - running RH8.x @ home on second partition, but haven't added anything other than standard Gnu distrobution).

eCS 2.5 Linkage --- 1st link = blank eCS. 2nd link = sample of Grutos for LotR.

    Enjoy.

  2. Added Don's Grimoire with Adobe Forms. Now, just point and click on the circles and they will fill in with a check mark. Click and type Character Name and Spell Specialties.

    I don't have a sample up, 56K connexion = limited uploading. Enjoy.

As with the ECS - feel free to make comments, changes and zap me an e-mail: grutos@iwon.com.

Right click here to download the Grimoire w/Adobe Forms directly.

  4. Danke.

I've added the Mad Irishman's LotR Character Sheets too. I've not changed anything that MIm had on his sheets - just added Adobe Forms, again so that Narrators don't have to read my insanely horrible hand-writting (Thiskitty can attest to my sloppy note-taking).

As it states on the site, if MIm decides that his sheets (or if Decipher decides that their sheets) need to come down, then I'll yank them down. Can't guarantee any warning of the links being yanked, if I'm told to pull the information off, I will.

One word of "warning" about the MIm sheets that I've added Adobe Forms to: I had to print, then scan in the character sheets. Even at max resolution, they came out blurry at best - legible, but some of the small text is almost lost. If you run it @ ~200%, it should be pretty good - printed out, it's decent.

Once his site is back up and running, I'll zap him these sheets w/Adobe Forms. If he wants to incorporate them into his sheets, then cool. If he's cool with me having these up, then kewl.

If there are other character sheets floating around that y'all would like to have Adobe Forms added, feel free to zap me an e-mail with them attached and I'll try to get them done & posted / e-mailed back ASAP.

Not that they're the end-all-to-be-all, but I've found the sheets very helpful --- don't have to write all the information down and hope that it's legible (just have to hope that I have toner).

    Enjoy

    Hello,

Just noticed the Mad Irishman's site is up and running again if you'd like to contact him. Also, Adobe Reader v6 is out now.

    Thanks,

    Tharkun
