    Monarch class freighter query

I don't suppose anypone has produced deckplans for the merchantman from Star Trek III, or the Monarch class as FASA called it?

Am considering making one available to my Triangle cmapign players, and it would be nice to have some deckplans. Or even a cutaway or something.

I haven't seen deckplans for the ship, but Decipher calls the Monarch the Class III (so, it's the same class as the Kobyashi Maru).

Also, I modified the Class III for illegal Orion activities; scroll down on the Orion Starships Thread to see what can be done with it.

Nice write up Tyger. Will have to make use of that one. Y'know I'm an idiot. I never noticed the darn thing is in Starships.

Actually, another problem I'm running into is the trying to figure out the cargo capacities. I'm using FASA's trade rules and planetary trade profiles. So as a result, I'm using FASA Standard Cargi Unit measurements. However, some of the SCU capacities they state for the ships are ridiculous. A tiny little courier has almost as much cargo capacity as a D7 battlecruiser for instance. So I'm wondering if anyone has worked out how to calculate reasonable cargo capacities?

OK, I'm not sure how the FASA SCUs compare to the CODA cargo units, but for the time being I'm going to assume a 1 to 1 conversion, and use the CODA 10x size class formula.
