    Sad news.

At 2:30pm this afternoon my Aunt Carlene "Carrie" Collas passed away in her room at the Jewish General Hospital due to a blood clot that entered her heart.

I thank everyone here for their prayers and well wishes.

I would like to tell you a bit about my Aunt Carrie. She grew up as a farm girl, milking cows, raising chickens the whole deal.

When she was young she moved to Montreal to find work and did at a number of jobs. She then returned to her home town and took a job with the Robin Jones and Whitman company which she held until she retired.

Carrie never married, nor had children. She was my Mother's (her sister) best friend and the two played cards every day, sat outside in the summer and worked on jigsaw puzzles together. This makes things very hard on my Mother as you can imagine as she has lost her best friend and her last living immediate family member.

Carrie watched Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy every day. She confessed that while she didn't know most of the answers on Jeopardy she loved watching the smart people answer. To be honest though, in so many ways she was smarter than they could ever be.

She taught me a lot over the years and was always willing to lend a hand or help out in a pinch. And while she had a temper, she was kind and generous beyond the call of duty.

    I will miss her dearly.

    Rest in peace.

    Hey my opinion

Without Star Trek: The Original Series there would be no other Trek Series or Movies regardless of shows rewriting the Series past.

I'm very sorry to hear about your loss, Aslan. I fear to reach the limits of my English - all my carefully learned words seem so empty and vain in such a situation...

You have all my sympathy and friendship in these hard times. If I can do anything...

My deepest condolences to you and your family, Aslan.

I don't say more because, like KillerWhale, this is a time where my English is not good enough to convey what I'd like to say.

    May she rest in peace.
