    A Question About Redundancy

Some of the Tier Abililties are basically identical to other Tier Abilities.

EX.- Tier 1 Scientiest "Technophile" and Tier 1 Inventor "Technophile"

EX.2- Tier 2 Scientist "R&D Specialist" and Tier 2 Inventor "Technical Wizard"

Do these Abilities stack if taken from both Professions? Or can they be interchaged for prerequisits for upper Tier Abilites?

Ok this confussed me at first but I understand what you mean now.
You are talking about Elite Profession Tiers and Profession Tiers. If you have a Tier and it does not allow you to stack then you will have to take other Tier 1 Ability.
Scientist already allows you to have Technophile so you have the Prerequisite for the other Higher Tiers that require it no matter if you have it from an Elite Profession Tier or Profession Tier.

EX if you have Technophile from Scientist and you also have the Elite Prof Inventor and want to buy the level 2 Tier Technowizard then you can.
You can not stack Tiers unless a Tier says you can.

Not every Profession has Tier choices like those mentioned for example the reason they are in the Elite Profession is so you can buy those. Remember Scientists are not the only Profession for example than can be inventors. A Starship Officier with Elite Prof Engineer can also quilify for a class such as this and can take it. Since Technophile is not part of Starship Officer or Engineer they can purchase the Tier with Advancement points.
    Hey my opinion

Without Star Trek: The Original Series there would be no other Trek Series or Movies regardless of shows rewriting the Series past.

A good rule of thumb (based on responses I've got in the past from TPTB) is that unless the description specifically states that the abilities do not stack, they do.
