    Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all dads out there!

What sort of things do you guys do for Father's Day that are related to your hobbies?

I made a card with "Happy Father's Day" in Elvish Tengwar on it.

Also, my brothers and I used our brand new DV camera to make a movie of us playing various sports (soccer, skateboard, juggling, etc) with music in the backround (Black Balloon, Complicated, Gone, etc), that was really neat; iMovie is so easy to use.

As only an uncle, I bow my head to the true fathers out there.

You do full-time what I only handle part-time.

    Have a happy one!

As the father of an 11 month-old, thanks! This morning my son, after I pointed to a picture of Superman, said something that sounded like he was trying to say "Superman". I guess I've slacked of on pushing "Kirk" and "Spock".

This was my second Father's Day with my 13 month old. Hobby-wise, not a heck of a lot yet... To be honest, while being a daddy is a wonderful experience which I wouldn't trade in for anything, it certainly alters the time spent on hobbies (hint... it doesn't go up. )

Victoria and her mom know I love the musical 1776 (I'm a huge history buff, especially of the Revolutionary-era) so they got me the DVD for Father's Day. Last night while feeding Victoria I popped the DVD in and had the player just play the muscial numbers - - she loves music. While she was content to listen while eating to most of the music, she was absolutely transfixed by "Is Anybody There", the final musical number from 1776. An amazing sight to behold. That's why it's more than a fair exchange that time for other hobbies is lessened. (Though I hope to teach her how to play RPGs by the age of four... I do, however, seem to be raising quite the musician.)
