    ICON Consolidated Skills List

Well, it's taken a while, but the first run-through of the Consolidated ICON Skills and Traits List is up. This list gives all of the Skills and Traits (Advantages/Disadvantages) given in the various ICON rules, except those from The Way of Kohlinar which I don't have access to - not all Specialisations, martial arts styles, etc... are given, but if there is enough demand, that can change.

Excellent work, Owen; you have the thanks of a grateful RPG-addicted public.

By the way, is the problem with "access" to Way of Kolinahr something of a legal nature, or is it simply that you don't have the volume currently in your possession? If the latter, I have it about a meter away from me and would be glad to forward you whatever information is required to update and complete the list.

I don't have a copy of the book, and nobody I know does. I would very much appreciate the Kohlinar info, and I'll credit your help along with Stephen Wood in the footer.

Unfortunate about the Way of K being unavailable to you at this point. Now, just wondering: I can have the information transcribed and dispatched to you by tonight. Would you prefer it posted here, or would a private e-mailing be more appropriate?

    From: Stephen M. Wood

I asked the same thing. I assume e-mail is still the prefered way.

Owen is there anything else you don't have access to, or is everthing well covered now?

redwood973's quite right - e-mail is best. No need to clog up the Boards. Thanks.

Thanks to Andrew (D.S.MacBride) and Stephen (redwood973) for their help in getting the ICON Master Skills/Traits List done. Couldn't have done it without you, guys. The list is now updated and, I hope, complete.

Owen's still has the list available, but for those interested in a list which includes fan stuff. . .here you go.

I very much doubt I found everything. I wore myself out searching the boards and I am sure there is some overlooked goodies. A large chunk of the new stuff is stuff that appears in the LUG books but not in the lists (samlpe characters mostly).

Fan made stuff is marked (*) and there are a few changes: a specialization or two being moved to another skill; Fast Talk being taken from a stand alone skill to a specialization of the Charm skill. All fan ideas, which made sence to me. You are obviously able to print and take your red pencil to the list and arrange as you see fit.

Updated to attach newly updated Consolidated Skill List. Almost two dozen specializations added! So, if you grabbed the first one this one is worth replacing it with. Some of the biggest changes: doing away with the Surveillance Skill and it’s specializations (it was too much the duplicate of the Espionage Skill [bugging compared to electronic intelligence]); Tracking is no longer a stand alone skill, but a specialization of Stealth; while Search is now a specialization of Security and Dodge of Athletics.

    Excellent, thanks for posting.

I'll look at what I have and send you anything new I see.

There's some PSI skills in Dan Gurden's Psionic Handbook at Memory Icon.

New martial arts and such in the Cardassian Sourcebook, probably something new in all the one's for download on Memory Icon. I'd have to check them all over again.

The Klingon fan sourcebook has more skills and specialties, if you want it it's only 1.3 mb or such.

Thanks, RealPity. Find anything I missed please send it my way and I'll update the sheet. I looked over all the fan made stuff available from Owen's place, but it never hurts to have someone go over them again--it's a vast amount of work and sure to be more there.

I'd love to see the Klingon book.

Where would you like it sent to ? I tried the e-mail in your public profile but it kicked it back as mailbox not available.
You can PM me an e-mail address if you'd like.
It's 1.18 mb, so not too big.

RealPity, not sure why it didn't work for you as it is the correct e-mail address ("redwood973 at yahoo.com").

Silverstreak, they are both from LUG's Time Travel Sourcebook. Pages 69 thru 72 covers Psi stuff and time travel.

Looks like it went this time, you should have it. I probably typed it wrong the first time ... damned two-finger typing !

You'll notice some oddities, for instance these tours/careers I posted were after going through them all (I think I got them all) and modifying any that were over and under points (there were a few). There's also an odd habit of writing skills as: "i" (2) or "t" (2) instead of using the "1" (2) ... no idea why, but I've gone through and found that all over the place !
Just little crap like that and traits in two different "chapters" some with different write ups for the same one ... "Passion" comes to mind, a simplistic writeup in one spot and a more detailed elsewhere specifying what the passion relates too.
