New hairstyle is nice. . . but that new uniform is a 12 on a 10 scale suck-o-meter. I want the old uniform back if that's the kind of visual drek they're going to throw at us.

You hear that sucking sound ? It's the sound of "Smallville" stealing the "Enterprise" viewership 'cuz Trek can't cut it anymore.

Hmmm, now where have I heard something like this before? Let me think. Oh, wait I know...I said something like this a year ago.

Well, maybe not the Smallville part, but I do definetly remember the the Ent part.

    Ezri --

This thread is not the forum for your continual Ent-bashing. We're just talking uniforms here.

    Please take your comments elsewhere.

I'm a little confused here. Is the gist of this conversation in favour or against the new wardrobe? Speaking as someone who isn't a Ent devotee, I have to say the uniforms are on my list of things I do like about the series. Their not Trek, but at least some thought went into them, the SF ones any way. Though Balock looks nice (drool) in the Vulcan DF uni, I don't think it is practical. But, then again when they put her in the cat suit, practicallity wasn't what they were going after.

I don't know, her current uniform looks practical to me, despite the lack of zippered pockets. Plus the earth tone matches her Vulcan outlook.

Anything more than that would be eccentric, unless it is regulation uniform, which by the look of the new ones ... is Hoshi going to have something similar?

Now that she is no longer an officer of Vulcan High Command, is her place in the ship's chain of command status quo or what?

Don't you mean the lack of anything resembling a pocket. I guess Vulcans are too Logical for pockets. Though they did invent velcro. Not sure what they used it for.

Do you think that they could get that plunging neck line to plunge any further?

For what social occasion? Playboy's Pajama Party?

    P.S. Ezri's Toy, I'm assuming you're not a stuffed teddy bear.

    What have we come to?

Are things that bad that we have to discuss the merits of T'Pol's new uniform?

I mean (and this is only in my own considered opinion) the woman is, at best, average looking (I appreciate that this is a matter of taste). She has a nice body I suppose (not wanting to sound sexist but hey, this entire thread could be considered sexist).

But there have been far better looking women in Star Trek than Jolene Blalock IMHO throughout the years and a discussion of this length about her (or any other person's for that matter) new look appears to me to be rather pointless.

It just stinks of pandering to the lowest common demographic (which is what the TV Execs do) and you guys proving their logic is not flawed.

Now - have I set the cat amongst the pigeons?
We have all your working biros and we're not afraid to use them.

Leave a box of used postit notes and a box of paperclips inside the filling cabinet and things won't get nasty.

Well in my defence, my remark was at the uniform itself how the neckline was outwardly degrading.

Not that there's anything wrong with that

I'm sorry, I thought this was an open Startrek Forum. I didn't realise that some people were 'right' and some people were 'wrong'. If someone thinks Enterprise sucks and blows they are entitled to their opinion and entitled to express that opinion so long as they retain board decorum.

If you like Enterprise so much, then why would it bother you if someone said something bad about it? I love Startrek and I know lots of people hate it and laugh out loud at it. I both agree with their points or disagree where applicable and like it all the same.

Giving one's opinion on Enterprise, no matter how good or bad it is, is perfectly OK on this forum. However, giving one's opinion on Enterprise on a thread discussing only an element of Enterprise is simply off-topic.
Pro-ENT posters don't jump on every occasion to claim how they like the show and why they think it's the best of the ST series, no matter what the topic is, so IMHO it's only fair that Anti-ENT posters do the same with their point of view.
In the particular case of this topic, giving one's opinion on T'Pol's uniform is OK. What one think of the show is irrelevant.
(Mind you, the whole rambling I just wrote is equally off topic )

JonA : Hey, we had whole threads in the past about Klingon's ridges... so we can have a little thread about Resident Vulcan Hot Babe (TM)'s uniform, after all

And back to the topic... well, at least this uniform looks like an ST uniform. The previous one was skintight enough, but I never found it very Vulcan like.
