startrek.com has put up what T'pol's uniform looks like now. Not too bad, would make a nice pair of pj's

Looks like a pre-TOS PJ uniform to me. Now, all she needs is a bouffant.

Come to think of it, she probably look good in those shortskirt uniform.

So, is she the first Vulcan to join Starfleet with a commission (taking away that dubious distinction once held by Mr. Spock)?

I wouldn't think so, as she is serving aboard a Terran Starfleet vessel where Spock served aboard a Federation Starfleet vessel.

Noooo! That's where the PJ look Came From! DAmn them! Damn Them all to Hell!.....*begins gibbering in the corner*.

A brave little theory, and actually quite coherent for a system of five or seven dimensions -- if only we lived in one.

The do looks much better, too. More natural.

Also, she's commisioned in Vulcan service while Spock was commisioned in Starfleet service.

Waitaminute....pre-TOS PJ uniform? Didn't they just wear the oversized sweaters and the same black pants from TOS in The Cage/Menagerie?

And I don't remember a bouffant do anywhere in that ep...except, maybe, on Mina. Number One wore a "page boy" cut, and Yeoman Colt wore a long ponytail, IIRC.

And, honestly, T'Pol's new uni looks a heck of a lot better than the PJs (although, like many of my generation, the more I watch TMP, the more that damned uniform is growing on me.... )

I dunno, the new uniform in itself is ok, but must TPTB really show skin to promote the show? Me I watch Enterprise to see interesting stories or the occasional Andorian that springs up... if I'd want skin I'd probably watch something else anyways (although you gotta admit that Jolene Blalock...)

Well, IIRC last season's episode, she is no longer an officer of the Vulcan High Command. So either she will get a commission from Earth's Starfleet or a special civilian status to continue serving onboard Archer's vessel.

Well, I did say pre-TOS not pre-Cage. Technically, wardrobe in The Cage would have been proper, but a few of the ladies in TOS plus NBC suits wanted them in minidress uniform.
