I must be lacking that restraint gene. . .

Any 1st or 2nd season episode where 40 minutes is used to set up a dilema, 30 seconds is taken to solve it with the deus ex machina du jour, and 90 seconds is used to philosophize.

    More specifically:

Pen Pal: There's a scene where the command staff is all sitting around having a philisophical discussion for what seems like 10 minutes. I remember exclaiming at the time that the scene was criminally lame.

    Shades of Grey: Nuff said.
    Justice: Ditto

Any 2nd season holodeck episode (there were only about a dozen right?)

I think I'll stop here, the nice man has stopped by with my thorazine. . .

I like the Pen Pal episode. I want to see that sector in an RPG book, such as the TNG sourcebook.

Just a thought that sprung to mind.

First BBC showing of Conspiracy: Aunty Beeb cuts the scene where the head bug gets killed (because of the gory bit).

First BBC showing of Shades of Grey: The gory bits are shown in their full (dubious) glory.

    Back to the actual thread:
    Conspiracy: Good episode.
Shades of Grey: to quote comic store guy. "Worst ever".
He's an underprivileged skateboarding cowboy with nothing left to lose. She's a sharp-shooting goth bounty hunter who believes she is the reincarnation of an ancient Egyptian queen. They fight crime!

Shades of Grey -- a clip show after two years???

The Royale -- interesting setup, truly lousy denoument

The Naked Now -- I realize this is the story they *wanted* to tell back in 1966, but they couldn't, and there was no reason to revisit the same concept.

Justice -- Just a lame concept.

The seventh season episode where that Ferengi DaiMon buys his way out of prison and trys to kill Picard *again*.

    There's probably a few others I'm missing.

Shades of Grey and Angel One. Both stupid.
