    Ablative Armour

Ok, just a quick query... Other than for the purpsoses of making a class fit it's description (I.e. the Defiant) is there actually any point in buying Ablative Armour as an edge because:

    A) It costs 5 points to buy, as an edge, and so does improving the ships structure by the same ammout - to create exactly the same result BUT:

    B) It also it can only be repaired at a Starbase ?

Am I missing something here, or is it completelly pointless to buy, other than semantics?

Yes. You don't take a system hit when the five points are depleted. So, it's like getting five free structure points.

Ahh right, I see that, though its not really listed in the description of it. I knew there HAD to be a reason for it

OF course, as a GM, if I wanted to be mean, I might make the players buy the armour over, since it's been ablated
