As many of you know Art Asylum who makes the current generation of Trek Action figures was left out in the cold when Walmart, Target, Toys r'us and etc.. refused to stock the new TOS line of figures siting poor sales of the Enterprise and Nemises line as there reason. Art Asylum refuted with a good argument saying that while the previous two lines appealed to a very small group of buyers the TOS line would be much more well received. Those arguments fell on deaf ears.

So here I was one day at work bored and I picked up a couple of the Avon cataloges that a co work leaves out to make some sales. [I must imject at this point I was looking at the general merchandis and health cataloges and not the make up.] Anyways I flipped through and there in the back was a picture of three very familir faces Kirk, McCoy and Spock. Thats right Art Asylum is selling at least these three figures through Avon and at a pretty good price as well, 24.99. And consideriing that S&H is only 50 cents per Item beats ordering them off the internet like I was fearing.

I got mine today and to say I am impressed is an understatment. The figures come in a nice box and pull out try which lens itself to storage quite well. I hope to get the word out because obviously if sales do well for Avon on this Item there will be more such sets and I would love to have a Scotty, Sulu and Checkov set.
