Thumbs up Target Number Calculator (Excel Spreadsheet)

Here's a handy little application for calculating total TN modifiers. It includes all the modifiers from Table 9.8: Physical Test Modifiers, Table 9:15: Close Combat Tests, and Table 9.16: Ranged Combat Tests. Simply select all appropriate situations using the check boxes, radio buttons, and drop-down menus to calculate your total modifier to TN, which is displayed at the top of the sheet.

The only problem is that I couldn't figure out how to program a Reset button to clear the form, so you have to deselect all inappropriate modifiers once a situation changes. If anyone has the Excel expertise to accomplish this, by all means modify the sheet and repost it!

This sheet is useful to Narrators for both calculating modifiers in advance (during scenario design) and calculating them on the fly at the game table. Although the lack of a reset button is a nuisance, using the form is still preferable perhaps to looking up the mods on several pages (or the Narrator's screen) and doing all the math in your head.

Although only one worksheet is included, one could duplicate it several times as needed, one for each force in a battle, for example, or even one per individual.

The use of the sheet is pretty straightforward. Just open it and starting choosing modifiers! Report any problems or bugs here.

    Enjoy!

    Thumbs up

Superb! I didn't know that kind of thing was even possible with Excel, wow.

I'm not sure if I'll use it, as I don't have a lap top, and one reason I roleplay is to stay off the computer, but if I had a lap top like you then I'd totally use it.

Thanks, KOR! If you like this, you should check out my character manager, if you haven't already. It's really cool; helps you keep everything straight.

    Best,
